Pool Party

So we had our pool/pizza party for the kids and they had such a good time! They swam and played ball and then posed for some silly pics! so cute!!!! Sal gave Brady his trophy last...so sweet! He loves coaching him and Brady loves it too!!

Ready for the weekend

TGIF!!! I thought Friday would never get here! My sister n law wanted to keep the kids tonight so we are getting to go to dinner with a group of our friends tonight...probably going to Taliano's for some awesome Italian food. Then maybe we will head downtown to see if anything is going on. Tomorrow is my annual Nightwing swim party...looking forward to this. Nightwing is our lady's group at church. Most of our kids go to school together and all our husbands are in the Mens Club...together we do alot of fundraisers for the church and for the school. We always have such a good time! But our swim party is us girls only...no kids, no hubbys...just us laying by the pool, sipping on some drinks and taking it easy. Sal is going to take the kids to Eastgate pool for the day while I am at my party and then rent them some movies or something. They love having their daddy all to themselves! And of course on Sunday we have church but this Sunday we are going to the Life Teen mass and then on to the parish center for dinner. The church is doing this steak dinner to raise money to help the school buy a batting cage for ball teams. So we have another busy weekend planned. I guess that is all for now....
We also had our team party! IC took first place in our league...the boys did so good!
We are having a pool/pizza party to celebrate and give the boys their individual trophies. Sal did a great job of picking them out!

My sister n law usually keeps her on Thursdays but she had to go to a meeting..so she got to hang out with me until lunch. Then we are off to get her hair cut and grab a bite to eat...

Weekend Wrap Up

We had a very busy weekend. Friday night, we had the awards ceremony for baseball. We (IC Bambino) got 1st place in our division. Not all the boys could make it but a few came out and accepted the trophy with Sal and some of the other coaches. It was really cool. Brady will get to take it to school on Trophy Day and share it with the school. Pretty neat cause his daddy's name is on the trophy..so he is pretty proud of that.

Saturday, we got up early and started working in the yard. We tore out 7 bushes and replaced 5 of them will all new stuff, planted flowers and layed down some new mulch. Sal got heat exhaustion and got really sick and he is still not feeling well..poor guy! Sunday, Aryn and I went to Eastgate to swim while the guys played video games...then we cooked out and all went to bed before 10pm...which is nice! So all in all it was a productive weekend!

TGIF!!

Yesterday, my sister n law called and wanted the kids to stay all night with her...which meant that Sal and I could have date night. We are really lucky cause we do get to go out with friends quite a bit but rarely do we go to dinner by ourselves on a week night. So we went to Landry's (one of my favorites) for dinner and drinks. Really nice to get that alone time. But I must say, it was really weird to wake up this morning and not have my kids there. I didn't have to remind them to brush their teeth, make their beds, etc.. I missed them! Anyway, we have a busy weekend planned..Hope everyone has a great one!

Catching Up

Just to catch everyone up to speed with what has been going on with The Martinez family: we just finished up baseball. Brady's team (Sal is head coach) got 1st place for the season in their division. Aryn played tball for the first time this year. She was more interested in just getting a trophy, but she still had a good time. Other than than, we are just enjoying the summer, going to the pool and the lake and having a good time. In August, Brady will start the 3rd grade at IC and Aryn will be in the pre-K program at First Methodist. Sal is doing good at his insurance job and I am busy here at Stein doing all this crazy medicare billing. Anyway, life is good....

New to Blogging...

Okay, so I'm new to this whole blogging thing. But I have wanted to do it for a really long time...mainly for my friends and family that I don't get to talk to on a weekly basis. I will do my best to keep it updated with pics so everyone will know how we are all doing.
