Update

I got some news yesterday that my brother has melonama. They are sending him to Houston to see what his options are. I haven't talked to him yet but I am sure he will be okay. So be sure and say a prayer for him.....I love him dearly. We don't get to see each other but he knows I love him.

My sister n law, Angelica, is now 22 weeks pregnant and her last ultrasound showed that the baby was just fine. She had gotten some scary news at her 15 week check up but the dr said that everything looks fine. The baby was being a little stubborn and wouldn't uncross her legs but from the heart beat and everything else, we might be having another little princess in the family. But we will know for sure early next month.

Brady has football tryouts coming up and we are enrolling Aryn Paige in gymnastics. I tried to talk her into doing dance but she keeps saying she wants to be a cheerleader...so gymnastics it will be! I did gymnastics for many years and loved it and I am sure she will too! Maybe later I can talk her into trying dance...we will see! That is all for now! -Nicole

Aryn's 1st Day of school

Aryn was soooo excited about going to school everyday like her brother this year. So Saturday we had to go shopping to get new shoes, socks and a pretty dress for her first day. Well, I got her school calendar and realized that the first week was color week and she had to wear red on Monday. Well, her pretty new dress is very pink. So here are some pics and yes, this is a 4th of July dress but it is red and she HAD to wear a dress. Still looks so sweet!

Sal got sick of his hair and got out the clippers on Friday night! Doesn't this pic look like Britney when she lost her mind?! I thought it was funny and had to share. But it looks so good...kind of when he was in the Air Force.

Sweet Aryn

This morning Aryn got to go and meet her teacher and see her new classroom. Brady had Mrs. Ashby and we love her! She is such a good teacher and so good with the kids. Anyway, the moms stood around and talked while the kids played and checked out all the neat stuff in their room. Monday will be her first day of Pre-K and she will be going 5 days a week. She is so excited and so ready for big school. When we were dropping Brady off this morning, she saw a little girl in her sweet Catholic school uniform and she said 'Mommy, will I get to wear that next year?' I told her she would and she grinned from ear to ear!! So stinking cute!!! I will add some pics of her first day on Monday. I snapped one this morning but she wouldn't let me take my camera to her school this morning...go figure! Have a great weekend! -Nicole

1st Day of School

Today was Brady's first day of 3rd grade. He said he was excited but really nervous too. But he had such a good day!!! He said he was really excited about getting to eat at the salad bar this year...funny, huh? And they also get to play in the big field on odd numbered days. Aryn will start next Monday but she gets to meet her teacher this Friday. She can't wait! She keeps reminded me that we need to go an buy her some new shoes, big bows and dresses. Where does all that come from? I was never that girly!!! :) -Nicole

Sunday Fun

Yesterday I took the kids and one of Brady's friends to the pool. Aryn decided to be brave and just jumped right in. She is still swimming with floaties but is doing so good...by next summer she will be swimming without, I am almost certain of it. Anyway, she keeps telling us that she will go down the slide and off the diving board when she turns 5 but she actually did it yesterday!!!! She was so cute and I was so proud of her. She would go down the slide, get out and go off the diving board, swim the entire length of the pool and do it all over again. She is so fearless!!!
Courtney came over with her two sweet girls. This was the first time we got to see the new baby, Lola. Sofie ( 2 1/2) and Aryn played while Court and I got to sit and chit chat. Her girls are precious! I really miss that little baby stage. :( But with all the new babies here and on the way, I will get my fix!!! Here is a pic of me and Court and the kids!!!
Gotta go for now, my new neice is on her way over....got to get dinner done and get my kids cleaned up before they get here.

70's Party

We went to a 70's party on Saturday night and let me just say it was so fun!!! It was hilarious to see everyone in afro's and orange or powder blue tuxedos. The party was a fundraiser for Trinity junior high. Friends of ours do a 'themed' party every year and decided to donate all the funds to the school. We had such a good time!!! Here are some pics! TGIF!!!

YES!! Thank goodness it is finally Friday! I swear, this week has been crazy! Sort of having a bad week at work and that really sets the mood when you get home. But anyway, it is Friday and I am ready to start my weekend. Tonight, Brady is going to a bday party/sleep over at Tristan's house..him and 3 other friends...he is super excited. They are going to see a movie and then go back to Tristan's house for the rest of the night. So Sal, Aryn and I will get to hang out..not sure what we will do. It has rained most of the week so we have been couped up. Tomorrow, IF it isn't raining, I want to take the kids swimming. I am losing my tan and I am not ready to go back to winter white just yet! :) Tomorrow night we are going to a 70's theme party at Trinity Junior High. I have my funky outfit all ready, Sal is still trying to put his together. It is so hard to find 70's stuff for guys. But he will be so cute in whatever he wears. Might be sporting a big ol' fro!!! I will be posting pics of the party later. I can't wait to see what everyone is wearing...should be a blast. Mom is coming over to watch the kids so we can go for a few hours. Anyway, I was wanting to take off today but because it is so busy here at work, I just didn't even ask. Brady starts 3rd grade on Monday and I really wanted to do something special with him. So with all of that, I found this sweet pic of the kids. I love to work but on days like today and with the kind of week I have had, I am really missing my kids. So here is a pic...they are so sweet! And look at our sweet Jazzer in this pic. It has been almost a year since he died...we still miss him so much. He was a part of our lives for 12 1/2 years. We love you, sweet Jazz! He loved the kids and they adored him. Okay, that is all for now! Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Poor Sal!

My poor hubby! He drove straight back from Atlanta with our new car! So he had literally been up for 24 hours straight! I know I never tell him enough how much I appreciate all the things he does for me. But it never goes unrecognized...Thanks honey!!! Here is a pic of us from Father's Day! I think we clean up pretty good! :)

Great News!!

Yesterday, we decided to drive to Northwest Arkansas to look for a Pathfinder. This is the vehicle we decided we really wanted. It has all the room that we want yet, it isn't too big! So after driving all over the place, we never found what we were looking for...well, we found some but they weren't the right price. So on the way back, we got to talking and decided to call a dealership in Atlanta to see if they still had this one Pathfinder that we had found. It was at a really, really great price and would be worth the trip down there to get it! (This isn't the first time we have done something like this!) So we call and to make a long story short, Sal is now on a plane somewhere headed to Atlanta. I dropped him off at 6am and he almost missed his flight but made it just in time. He has a stop in Charlotte NC and then on to Atlanta. A guy from the dealership is picking him up and taking him to pick up the SUV. Poor Sal still has to drive back 10 hours....all this after an already long day. But he is a trooper and will be fine! In the meantime, I think I am ready for a nap!! :) Me and the kids are thinking about going to the library to check out some books and then going and doing a little 'back to school' shopping. We wanted to go to the pool but it is raining..which makes for great napping weather!! Brady starts back to school next Monday (the 18th) and then Aryn starts the next Monday. So I guess that is all for now! I am off to take a short nap! Bye! -Nicole

Visit with Grandpa

My dad was in town to see the new baby so he wanted to spend some time with the kids..so of course, they wanted to go to Chuck E Cheese. We MAYBE get to see him once a year but the kids really love when he visits. Anyway, they had a blast and after winning 700 tickets, me and dad were ready to go!!!
Anyway, Sal and I are still on the hunt for a new vehicle..it is all very overwhelming! If we weren't so crunched on time and could actually take our time to shop around, it would be sooo much better! We might just end up getting in the car and driving to Dallas. There just isn't any good deals around here and we can't find what we are looking for. So wish us luck and hopefully, I will be sporting a sweet new ride on Monday! Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Well Payton Marie weighed in at 6 lbs & 8 oz and was 19.2 inches long! So hard to believe that she was bigger than both of my kids! We are going back to the hospital tonight to take more pics. She hadn't had her bath yet so hopefully she will be all pretty in pink when we get there!

Wooohooo!!

Well, Sal and I are on the hunt for a new car...we think the Jetta finally took it's last breath! But on to more interesting news....Kara (my niece) is going in today to have her baby! So I am hoping to see Baby Payton tonight sometime! I promised I would be in charge of the 'coming home' outfit and guess who hasn't even been to the store yet? Yep! ME!! I am so last minute with everything so I am running to the mall at lunch! Hopefully, I will have pics to post tomorrow or the next day!

So Friday night Sal and I went to eat at Landry's and then went to La Huerta to sit on the patio and listen to some music. Friends of ours met up with us and we had a good time..got home early too! The kids were coming home on Saturday so we got their rooms all cleaned up and cleaned OUT!!! It is just crazy when you can fill a huge black trash bag full of just 'stuff'. Anyway, so while we are waiting for the kids to come home from Branson, we get a phone call that my oldest sister n law, Maria, had been in a car wreck. She was hit head on by what we thought was a drunk driver. Long story short, she is fine and got to go home late Saturday night. She has 14 stitches in her head and has bruises but she is just fine. Sal stayed up at the ER with is family while I went and got the kids. I was so excited to see them. I got to listen to all the stories about what a good time they had. Sal and I really, really missed them. So yesterday, we basically just hung out with the kids. We did have all of his family over to cook and was just thankful Maria was not seriously hurt. A big thanks to all of friends who said a prayer for her!

Just to catch everyone up!!!

Well, we went to the lake for the annual 'adults only' weekend. We all look forward to this weekend because it is a relaxing weekend for us before school starts...which is always hectic. But we ski, wake board, eat and just hang out with some of our very best friends. Check out my shutterfly to see all the pics of that weekend! I am slowly added more collections to the shutterly collection...very limited on time but I will add some older pics so everyone can see how much the kids have grown.

I have been so busy with work that I haven't had time to update my blog, but I promise to do better! Anyway, the kids are out of town with my sister n law so Sal and I have just been going to dinner and watching alot of movies. I guess that is what we did before we had kids..heehee!! But it is really quiet and my house is really clean...so I will take loud and messy anyday! We really miss them! But they will be back tomorrow morning! I hope everyone has a great weekend!
